Stan Blade is a sole music project started in the new year of 2013 by Wesley James Jewitt. Wesley was born in Essex’s Southend on Sea in July 1983 ,but left around the same time as the only way is Essex got big and now lives in Newquay…dude! In the days that he was actually in school it was clear that his only future job prospects was going to be spud peeler in Feltham young offenders but then at the age of 15 he picked up a guitar not to hit someone but to learn and learn he did. After getting into music and bands playing anything from rock n pop to jazz n funk he wanted to start he’s own band but learned how hard it was to try and get 5 people into one room at the one same time and getting fed up with people letting him down he decided to become a modern one man band writing and producing all the songs himself playing all the instrument parts and singing on them. Now he just needed his own sound …
Wesley was always rapping about silly things to silly people on the guitar but didn’t want to make up jokes songs for this new act as he wanted to be taken as a serious credible artiste and writing from 2012 he managed to fussed the two of serious music making with humour added to it the form of spoken word. The 1st song he wrote was ‘kind of girl’ Which was plugged and played by BBC Introducing and that paved the way for the sound and direction he wanted to go and the demos wanted to make.
